I’m filled with extacy
At the thought of you and me
Anxious expectancy
As love battled fear

When you first drew near,
It had a pleasant connotation
But then you pulled away,
Leaving behind dreadful desolation

Amidst the bright sunshine
And torrential rain
The forrest became a desert
The earth; a spring

Now the overwhelming extacy
The one I used to feel
Gave way to anxiety
As love was conquered by fear

And once again
One thing remained:
A Rock that never caves
A Stronghold that never breaks

And once again
I feel true love
Of the One who never leaves
Of the One who gave it all
