Last year I made a great start and finished at peace. Somewhere in the middle though, I went through some challenging months where later I felt it was time I had lost. A period where I was distracted. But I learned once again that God’s timing is not my timing. What I believe I “lost” in 3 months, God can make it happen in 3 days. Who am I to call God’s plan, purpose and path “lost”?

Last year’s words of the year were Flourishment & Fruitfulness. It was a year of pruning, planting & tending. Watering and nourishing. A year of consistency and creation. A year of flower buds germinating. Let me give you that definition again, for you to draw this picture with me: “Germination is the process by which a plant grows from a seed into a seedling. Seeds remain dormant until conditions are favorable for germination. All seeds need water, oxygen and optimal temperature to germinate.”

By the end of the month December my new word for the year 2024 came to me: Bloom. And it’s the year the seedlings sprout and start their shine. Where nothing had been lost, but on the contrary, grew underneath the surface (where my eye didn’t see). Allowing the now flower buds to reach their season of Bloom & Blossom.

Since last week this song by Israel and New Breed called New Season has been on repeat in my house, in my head and now in my heart. As a beautiful wink from God, he sings: “All that was stolen is returned to you a hundred fold”. And Amen I say, thank You Lord and I gracefully receive it all.

Genesis 26:12 [HCSB] — “Isaac sowed seed in that land, and in that year he reaped  a hundred times what was sown. The Lord blessed him,”
