Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭19‬ ‭[HCSB‬‬] — “And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus.”

This is a verse I read daily. It’s a verse I’ve now maybe read a thousand times. And every time I did, I thought of God supplying my every need like food, clothing, affection and whatever I needed to do all that He as called me to do. As the Word also says that He has equipped me and that He will give me anything necessary to fulfill His purpose for my life.

Hebrews‬ ‭13‬:‭20‬-‭21‬ ‭[HCSB‬‬] — “Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus — the great Shepherd of the sheep — with the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with all that is good to do His will, working in us what is pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ. Glory belongs to Him forever and ever. Amen.”

These needs provided can come from anywhere God may please. God can use anyone He wants as well to provide that what He wants.

The connection I hadn’t made before though, is the “according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus” part. If you, reading this, have been used by God before to provide a need (knowingly or unknowingly), then you belong to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Isn’t that beautiful? Isn’t exciting?! The fact that we are royal, adopted into His Kingdom as His children, makes us not only Royal but as well Royalties. Irreplaceable gems, sparkling diamonds, mesmerizing rubies, jaw dropping emeralds and precious pearls.

May God be generous with us, and use us, our talents, our personality, character, uniqueness and authenticity; whatever God has equipped us with, to pay it forward and supply others’ needs.

Read Philippians 4:10-20 to get a glimpse of this selfless cycle.

Philippians‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬-‭20‬ ‭[HCSB] — “I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that once again you renewed your care for me. You were, in fact, concerned about me but lacked the opportunity to show it. I don’t say this out of need, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know both how to have a little, and I know how to have a lot. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret of being content — whether well fed or hungry, whether in abundance or in need. I am able to do all things through Him who strengthens me. Still, you did well by sharing with me in my hardship. And you Philippians know that in the early days of the gospel, when I left Macedonia, no church shared with me in the matter of giving and receiving except you alone. For even in Thessalonica you sent gifts for my need several times. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the profit that is increasing to your account. But I have received everything in full, and I have an abundance. I am fully supplied, having received from Epaphroditus what you provided — a fragrant offering, an acceptable sacrifice, pleasing to God. And my God will supply all your needs according to His riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.”

Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭34‬-‭36‬ ‭[HCSB] — “Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you took care of Me; I was in prison and you visited Me.’”‬‬

Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭40‬ [‭HCSB] — “And the King will answer them, ‘I assure you: Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of Mine, you did for Me.’”
