James 1:5 — “Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives to all generously and without criticizing, and it will be given to him.”
Did you know that when we lack wisdom and understanding, we’d only have to ask for it? Sounds simple, right? And the asking part is simple indeed. But what if the wisdom and understanding you receive is not exactly to your taste. Not exactly what you thought or hoped it would be. Would you be ready answering God’s call if it takes you out your deep comfort zone?
Proverbs 2:2, 6 — “listening closely to wisdom and directing your heart to understanding; For the Lord gives wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.”
Writing and publishing this journal started with an intense heavenly download of knowledge and surged into an ongoing journey of surrender and obedience. To imagine the simple prayer to this answer was “Lord, please give me the wisdom and the understanding”.
I wish my Jaja was here to see this. And I celebrate her life today. With which she role modeled the fear of the Lord. Being observant and attentive. Loving and very caring. Bold and full of wisdom and understanding.
