A pelican flies over the sea looking for fish. Suddenly when it sees a fish it dives down hard into the sea to catch it. Sometimes it manages, but sometimes it doesn’t. Its goal is to eat fish to fill its belly. That’s why it changes its route and tactic to reach its goal and not give up. But still taking time to rest to gain strength to continue. They fly together, but don’t get in each others way.
In the same way we as people have our goals we want to reach in life. We have our plan which we firmly follow, but still we fall on our way and don’t reach our goal. As people we get embarrassed and give up because of what might be thought, and we don’t want to try again.
Let’s be like the pelican. Let’s change our strategy, keep persevering, keep trying without worrying about people around us until we reach our goal. And remember to rest to gain strength to continue.
It’s not easy, but neither is it impossible.

Sigui Purba i No Entregá Sin Logra Bo Meta!
Komo hende nos ta haña berguensa i ta ‘give up’ pa bista di hende i no ke bolbe purba.
Ban ta manera e pelikano. Ban kambia nos strategia, keda perseverá, keda purba sin wòri ku otro hende rondo di bo te ora bo logra bo meta. I kòrda sosega pa haña e forsa pa sigui.
Fasil e no ta, pero tampoko imposibel.
Filipensenan 4:13 — “Bo por enfrentá tur kos pa media di Esun ku ta duna bo forsa.”
