It’s a new year, a new month, a new week and a new lap has begun. Everything is new and it’s always a refreshing feeling. On the first day of this year I read the last day of a Christmas devotional I was still doing. And I would love to share it with you today. The video, the bible verses and a lovely prayer to start the year with. Have a Blessed, Beautiful and Bountiful new year.
Jeremiah 29:11 [HCSB] — “For I know the plans I have for you” — this is the Lord’s declaration — “plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
Matthew 6:33 [HCSB] — “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you.”
Isaiah 41:10 [HCSB] — “Do not fear, for I am with you; do not be afraid, for I am your God. I will strengthen you; I will help you; I will hold on to you with My righteous right hand.”
Colossians 3:1 [HCSB] — “So if you have been raised with the Messiah, seek what is above, where the Messiah is, seated at the right hand of God.”
Revelation 21:5 [HCSB] — “Then the One seated on the throne said, “Look! I am making everything new.” He also said, “Write, because these words are faithful and true.””
Prayer:
God, You are with me in hard times, and protect me at all times. My future is secure in You because I am Your child. So today, I give my life and my year over to You. Teach me to seek You first this year so that I can embrace the abundant life that You offer me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
