Making my way downtown, driving fast, blossoms pass and I’m Christ bound. Teeny-neeneeny-neeny… That is Not how I originally intended to start this blogpost, but once it started I just had to finish it. Not sorry. It’s still a very catchy song and even a catchier scene. I mean, I’m pretty sure that if you know the scene you just shaked your head simultaneously to the imaginary piano keys played in your head. Thank you, Terry Crews, for that. Now back to me driving.

On the 30th of January I drive from Faro to Budens to see a client. And on my way I see a lot of almond trees which normally I wouldn’t recognise, but this time of year I definitely do. I recognise them by their fruits, not yet their almonds, but their white and pink blossoms. Which is a beautiful thought and reflection on its own. I don’t know if you’ve seen this before, but try and imagine dark empty trees and on their branches, directly sprouting, light pearl-like flowers. Pearl-like, not because of their shape, but because of their color and reflection after a couple days of rain. Now imagine my journey with many of these trees alongside the road. It’s a wonderful view and it’s a divine reminder that God is with me. I didn’t get it at first, but when I did, it was a moment of comfort. In this unique way God showed me how He has prepared me, lead me and is now confirming that this year is indeed my year of Bloom and Blossom. After my months and years of consistency, growing, falling and getting back up stronger and smarter. After these months of plowing, plucking and planting seeds and dreams, the season of blossoms presenting and manifesting themselves has arrived. Yes, the hard work will continue, and its harvest will be a hundredfold.

What better way to start the year with a strong month and hundreds of blossoming kisses with it?
