2 Corinthians 2:14-15 [HCSB] — “But thanks be to God, who always puts us on display in Christ and through us spreads the aroma of the knowledge of Him in every place. For to God we are the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing.”
Yes, to God, that’s what we are. How beautiful and romantic is that. We are The Fragrance of Christ. We are His bride, the church. And as we live our lives individually, as we go out in the world and represent Christ, we carry His fragrance. His aroma. This warm and welcoming and fulfilling smell. The scent that’s so specific, unique and lingers. That which is nostalgic and allows you to feel content and satisfied. At peace and at home. Anything we do is by and for Him. We represent Him, always. We are His examples here on earth. So that every place we go we can provide a pleasant odor making us more recognizable or distinct, which brings us back to glorifying Him.
2 Corinthians 3:18 [HCSB] — “We all, with unveiled faces, are looking as in a mirror at the glory of the Lord and are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory; this is from the Lord who is the Spirit.”
