This is the year of the Lord’s favor, and today I’m here and I can testify to that. But I don’t know about you, but many times this year this wasn’t what I felt, or what it looked like to me. There were several moments when I didn’t feel at my best with God, I wasn’t living to the fullest. I felt like I had no time for anything, I felt full of things and worries. And when we are like this, we often fail to see this favor of God. Who has ever felt this way? Who knows what this is like?

We are all aware that life is not made up of only high moments, nor only low moments. That’s good, but even Jesus warned us that in the world we would have afflictions. But you know, the interesting thing is that there are several examples in the Bible of people who, at certain moments in their lives, were not at their best with God, they were not living to the fullest and in their fullness and sometimes they let themselves go down. Jacob, Moses, Solomon, Peter… What I find fascinating about our God is that He doesn’t expect perfection from us, and He demonstrates it to us through the examples He gives us in His word. But He wants us to live to the fullest. Our church has a very well-known saying, which is “Life is for living”. That’s why the title of my message is “Live Your Maximum”.

Now that we are approaching the end of the year, it is normal that we start to reflect on this same year. And making New Year’s resolutions. I don’t know about you, but usually when you make New Year’s resolutions, you focus on what you want to achieve right? We don’t focus on the less good things. Rebekah and I like that after Christmas, we usually go for a walk through passage in Alvor. To talk about the past year and talk about the year ahead. Reflect on everything that happened to us. And you know, when we start to look back on everything that’s happened, over and over again, we’re baffled by the amount of experiences we’ve had, and because of that we’re super excited for what might happen next year. It helps us to dream for next year. And now that I think about it, it helps us to train our eyes on what we want to see. For the best is yet to come. God always wants to give us more. He wants us to live life to the fullest. That’s why He gave us His word, and in it examples of how He can change things.

Judges‬ ‭6‬:‭11‬-‭18‬ ‭[HCSB‬‬] – “The Angel of the Lord came, and He sat under the oak that was in Ophrah, which belonged to Joash, the Abiezrite. His son Gideon was threshing wheat in the wine vat in order to hide it from the Midianites. Then the Angel of the Lord appeared to him and said: “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” Gideon said to Him, “Please Sir, if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened? And where are all His wonders that our fathers told us about? They said, ‘Hasn’t the Lord brought us out of Egypt? ’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to Midian.” The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and deliver Israel from the power of Midian. Am I not sending you? ” He said to Him, “Please, Lord, how can I deliver Israel? Look, my family is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the youngest in my father’s house.” “But I will be with you,” the Lord said to him. “You will strike Midian down as if it were one man.” Then he said to Him, “If I have found favor in Your sight, give me a sign that You are speaking with me. Please do not leave this place until I return to You. Let me bring my gift and set it before You.” And He said, “I will stay until you return.””

So here in this story, we see a boy named Gideon, and to give you context, Israel at this time didn’t have a King yet, it was the time they were settling in the land of Canaan. After the death of Joshua until the birth of the prophet Samuel. About 200 years. At this specific time the people were being constantly attacked by other peoples, robbing them of their crops, burning their villages. The people of Israel knew God in a historical context, of what God had already done, but not on a personal level. To the point that they were worshiping another god, Baal. So in the text we see a boy named Gideon, Gideon was hiding from the Midianites and God sends an angel calling Gideon, telling him that the Lord was with him. Gideon at this point is an example that he is not living to the fullest, he is hidden, limited in his potential and in his beliefs. God didn’t want you that way and let me tell you, He doesn’t want you that way either! Today, He wants to give you the opportunity to leave that place where you are, knowing that He is with you and is ready to help you overcome your fears. The story of Gideon helps us understand how to live our best lives. A maximum that only through Him is possible. So there are 3 things that Gideon did that I believe we can carry over into our lives today.

1 – Recognize your call

In the verses we read, we see that an angel comes from the Lord and tells Gideon that the Lord is with him! Gideon looked around him, and that’s not what he recognized, he didn’t recognize the angel of the Lord either. Look at verse 13: “Gideon said to Him, “Please Sir, if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened? And where are all His wonders that our fathers told us about? They said, ‘Hasn’t the Lord brought us out of Egypt? ’ But now the Lord has abandoned us and handed us over to Midian.””

How many of us have been in this situation? Or how many of us have responded in exactly the same way? If God is with us, how could this be happening to me or my family? If God is with us, how come my financial life doesn’t improve? If God is with us, how come only bad things happen to me? Somebody? But Gideon responded like this, responded the typical response, “But where is God?” “but if God exists, why does he allow this to happen?” Now look what the Lord answered! In verse 14: “The Lord turned to him and said, “Go in the strength you have and deliver Israel from the power of Midian. Am I not sending you? ””

Basically the Angel replied: “I am with you! I’m in you! You carry my presence! I do as you allow me to do!” The same He answers us! I don’t know why certain things happen in our life. I can’t answer you why. But what I can answer you is, He is with you! Go for it! conveys your presence! He says here, in His word, that He is with us, if He is for us, who can be against us? Nothing and no one can stop the fire that is within you, which is the Holy Spirit. Do not doubt your call, if God calls you to act, act! Gideon started with excuses and his doubts! “I am from the poorest tribe, and I am the smallest!” Do you know this speech? “But I’m not rich, how can I help someone? I am new and I have no authority! I’m not in the “ideal” situation”. Hey!! God is calling you and is telling you that it’s up to you! What are you waiting for to go ahead and face your situation? What stops you from going forward? If He is for you what will be against you! Do you believe in an almighty, omnipotent and omnipresent God, that every knee bends? Or do you believe in a God who gives you little things from time to time? He wants you and I to live our lives to the fullest and for that we must recognize our calling! Recognize your call!

2 – Take action!

Later in chapter 7, we see that Gideon gathered an army and they went against the Midianites, but before that we see that it took Gideon some time to recognize that this was really his calling, you can read it in the rest of chapter 6. For 3 times he asked for a sign so that God would confirm what he was hearing through signs. Hey, I’m not here to tell you that we shouldn’t be sure before we go, and that we shouldn’t ask for confirmation. None of that, I think we can and should ask God for guidance. But there is a moment when we have to take action, we have to act! We often get stuck in this process of asking for confirmations for everything! Because we know how much that what God is asking us is going to cost us. And we’re human, we all think that, doesn’t anyone here think so?

You know, Rebekah and I try to set a time to clean the house, sometimes it can be on the weekend, sometimes during the week, but we try to have a day to do it. Ah, for those who don’t know, I’m married to the most beautiful woman in the world, and we’re a modern couple. Here at Hillsong we are modern in everything, hehe. (Sidebar: girls who want to get married, when looking for a husband, look at how he is with his mother and at home, that way you can see the kind of man he can be in the future. And boys, be what you want in a future wife!) This was just a quick sidebar! So we clean the house together, and we share chores, but I have a problem. I hate cleaning the house! It takes me a long time to get the courage to start. I like the moment when everything is already clean. But that moment before starting is very difficult, once we start everything is fine, but before that it costs a lot! Somebody else feels the same?

The most difficult thing is to start. It’s time to move on to action. Because although we want the end result, we don’t want the intermediate process to get there. Many of us may want to lose weight but are unable to start dieting. Do you want to reach your calling? Do you want what God has for you? It’s time to take action! It’s time to put an end to procrastination, to ask for signs about certain things! From things that God has already put in your heart for a long time, from thinking about the cost and moving on to action! ADVANCE! for He is with you! He is your strength, He renews your strength! Take Action!

3 – Let God act

So Gideon recognized his calling, took action, made an altar to God, called an army and let God do His thing.

‭‭Judges‬ ‭7‬:‭2‬-‭7‬ ‭[HCSB] — “The Lord said to Gideon, “You have too many people for Me to hand the Midianites over to you, or else Israel might brag: ‘I did it myself.’ Now announce in the presence of the people: ‘Whoever is fearful and trembling may turn back and leave Mount Gilead.’ ” So 22,000 of the people turned back, but 10,000 remained. Then the Lord said to Gideon, “There are still too many people. Take them down to the water, and I will test them for you there. If I say to you, ‘This one can go with you,’ he can go. But if I say about anyone, ‘This one cannot go with you,’ he cannot go.” So he brought the people down to the water, and the Lord said to Gideon, “Separate everyone who laps water with his tongue like a dog. Do the same with everyone who kneels to drink.” The number of those who lapped with their hands to their mouths was 300 men, and all the rest of the people knelt to drink water. The Lord said to Gideon, “I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and hand the Midianites over to you. But everyone else is to go home.””

So we see that Gideon gathered the army, and went to battle, and God decided that army was too big. That is, 32.000 soldiers were too many against 135.000, and He told Gideon to send everyone who was afraid home. I don’t know about you, but if this were me, I would start to argue with God.. “God, I see that You don’t understand anything about mathematics, You know that we who have less, 32.000 is less than 135.000. Not the other way around!! ” But Gideon did as God told him and was left with 10.000. And yet God thinks the army is too big! And he told them to go to a fountain, where the army would be divided into 2 groups, and the group that drank water like dogs would go home. And he was left 300. Well, here’s where God went all out! If it were me, I’d reply “God, You’re going crazy, what did you drink for lunch? Admit that You can’t see well anymore. Do You need glasses? It’s 300 that are left, not 300.000.”

But He responds in verse 7, “I will deliver you with the 300 men who lapped and hand the Midianites over to you”. Madness! God are you crazy! When God is in the picture, the circumstances change! It’s not us who are in control, but Him! So we just have to let Him act. As crazy as it is! I am a person who likes to be in control of things. And I’ll tell you about the things that have been the hardest for me to learn is simply to trust. If we had this situation in which Gideon found himself, it was natural to start questioning why? There are things in our life that we may even find that don’t make sense, or we wonder why me? But we have to let God act.

2 Corinthians‬ ‭12‬:‭9‬ ‭[HCSB] — “But He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for power is perfected in weakness.” Therefore, I will most gladly boast all the more about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may reside in me.”

It has already been shared here in church that I got a new job. I can tell you that this process of finding a job was one of the most amazing things I’ve ever experienced with God. First, I think it was the first time I truly trusted God, and that He was in control! Second, it was the fastest job-finding process I’ve ever had. I stopped working on the 20th of October and on the 8th of November I was already at the new place. Third, this process was the most bumpy I’ve ever been on. For several reasons, but as managing partner, if the company declares bankruptcy, or is sold, we are not entitled to the unemployment fund, that is, from the 20th, I literally did not receive it. God acted and did what He had to do, and in this job I feel appreciated, I have an excellent schedule, which allows me to study! He did so much more than I could ask or imagine because when He is the center, He always exceeds our expectations.

God wants to act! And he wants to act today and now. Are you willing to let it go? You can recognize your purpose, you may even have taken action, but without letting God act you will never live as much as He has for you! I wouldn’t want to end without praying first for people who recognize that they have trouble letting go of the driver’s seat, it costs them to let go of control. (Leave a comment if you want me to pray for you!) I know how hard this is, and believe me I learned it by hitting my head and maybe I’ll hit it again. But I believe that God wants to take us further, wants to take us to a deeper level of intimacy..

Vive o Teu Máximo

Este é o ano do favor do senhor, e hoje estou aqui e posso testemunhar isso mesmo. Mas não sei quanto a vocês, mas muitas vezes este ano não era isso que sentia, ou que me parecia. Houve vários momentos, que não me senti no meu melhor com Deus, não estava a viver ao máximo. Senti-me como tivesse sem tempo para nada, senti-me cheio de coisas e preocupações. E quando estamos assim muitas vezes não conseguimos ver esse favor de Deus. Quem é que já se sentiu assim? Quem é que sabe como isto é?

Todos nós temos a consciência que a vida não é feita só de momentos altos, nem só momentos baixos. Era bom, mas até Jesus avisou-nos que no mundo teríamos aflições. Mas sabem o interessante é que há vários exemplos na Bíblia de pessoas que a certos momentos da sua vida não estavam no seu melhor momento com Deus, não estavam a viver ao máximo e na sua plenitude e por vezes se deixaram ir abaixo. Jacob, Moisés, Salomão, Pedro.. O que eu acho fascinante no nosso Deus, é que ele não espera perfeição de nós, e demonstra-nos através dos exemplos que nós dá na sua palavra. Mas Ele quer que nós possamos viver ao máximo. A nossa igreja tem um dizer muito conhecido, que é “Life is for living” a vida é para se viver.  Por isso o título da minha mensagem é “Vive o Teu Máximo”.

Agora que nos aproximamos da fase final do ano, é normal que comecemos a refletir sobre este mesmo ano. De fazer resoluções de novo ano. Não sei quanto a vocês, mas normalmente quando se faz resoluções de novo ano, foca-se naquilo que queremos alcançar certo? Não focamos nas coisas menos boas. Eu e a Rebekah normalmente assim depois do Natal, costumamos ir passear ali para a passadeira de Alvor, conversar sobre o ano que passou e falar do futuro ano. Refletir sobre tudo que nos aconteceu. E sabem, nós quando começamos a olhar sobre tudo aquilo que aconteceu, sempre mas sempre, ficamos perplexos com a quantidades de experiencias que tivemos, e devido a isso ficamos super entusiasmados por aquilo que pode vir acontecer no próximo ano. Ajuda-nos a sonhar para o próximo ano. E agora que reflito nisso ajuda-nos a treinar o olhar para aquilo que queremos ver. Pois o melhor ainda está por vir. Deus quer sempre dar-nos mais. Ele quer que nós possamos viver uma vida ao máximo. Foi por isso que Ele nos deu a Sua palavra, e nela exemplos de como Ele pode fazer mudar as coisas.

Juízes 6:11-18 – “Um dia, o anjo do Senhor chegou-se e sentou-se sob o carvalho de Ofra, na propriedade de Joás, o abiezrita. O filho de Joás, Gedeão, estava a malhar trigo no lagar, para se esconder dos midianitas e salvar o grão. O anjo do Senhor dirigiu-lhe estas palavras: “O Senhor é contigo, homem valente!” “Se o Senhor é connosco”, respondeu-lhe Gedeão, “porque é que nos tem acontecido tudo isto? Por que razão não se dão entre nós aqueles famosos milagres que os nossos pais nos contam como quando o Senhor nos tirou do Egito? O Senhor desamparou-nos e deixou que os midianitas nos arruinassem completamente.” Então o Senhor, voltando-se para ele, declarou-lhe: “Vai com a força que te dou e livrarás Israel das mãos dos midianitas. Sou eu mesmo quem te envia!” Gedeão replicou: “Como posso ser eu a salvar Israel? A minha família é a mais pobre de toda a tribo de Manassés e na minha casa eu sou aquele a quem menos atenção se dá.” “Eu, o Senhor, serei contigo! E tu destruirás os midianitas duma vez!” “Se realmente achei graça aos teus olhos, rogo-te que faças agora um milagre que me dê prova disso. Que me prove que é realmente o Senhor que me está a falar desta maneira. Mas peço-te que não te vás já embora, porque quero ir buscar um presente para ti.” O Senhor respondeu: “Está bem, ficarei aqui até que voltes.”

Então aqui nesta história, vemos um rapaz chamado Gedeão, e para vos dar contexto, Israel nesta altura ainda não tinha um Rei, foi na altura em que eles se estavam a estabelecer na terra Canaã. Após a morte de Josué até ao nascimento do profeta Samuel. Cerca de 200 anos. Nesta altura especifica o povo estava a ser constantemente a ser atacado por outros povos, roubando-lhes as suas colheitas, queimando as suas vilas. O povo de Israel conhecia Deus num contexto histórico, daquilo que Deus já tinha feito, mas não a nível pessoal. Ao ponto que estavam a adorar outro deus, Baal. Então no texto vemos um rapaz que se chamava Gedeão, Gedeão estava a esconder-se dos midianitas, e Deus envia um anjo chamando Gedeão, dizendo-lhe que o Senhor era com ele. Gedeão neste ponto é um exemplo que não está a viver ao máximo, ele está escondido, limitado no seu potencial e nas suas crenças. Deus não o quis assim e deixa-me que te diga, Ele não te quer assim também! Ele hoje, nesta manhã quer dar-te oportunidade de sair desse lugar onde estás, sabendo que Ele é contigo, e está pronto a te ajudar a ultrapassar os teus medos. A história de Gedeão ajuda-nos a perceber como conseguir viver o nosso máximo. Um máximo que somente através Dele é possível. Então há 3 coisas que Gedeão fez, que acredito que podemos transportar para nossa vida hoje.

1 – Reconhece o teu chamado

Nos versículos que lemos, vemos que um anjo vem do Senhor e diz a Gedeão que o Senhor era com ele! Gedeão olhou para a sua volta, e não foi isso que reconheceu, ele também não reconheceu o anjo do Senhor. Olhem lá no versículo 13: “Se o Senhor é connosco”, respondeu-lhe Gedeão, “porque é que nos tem acontecido tudo isto? Por que razão não se dão entre nós aqueles famosos milagres que os nossos pais nos contam como quando o Senhor nos tirou do Egito? O Senhor desamparou-nos e deixou que os midianitas nos arruinassem completamente.”

Quantos de nós já tivemos nesta situação? Ou quantos de nós já respondemos exatamente da mesma maneira? Se Deus é connosco como pode estar isto acontecer comigo, ou com a minha família? Se Deus é connosco como é que a minha vida financeira não melhora? Se Deus é connosco como é que só me acontece coisas más? Alguém? Mas Gedeão respondeu assim, respondeu a típica resposta, “Mas onde está Deus?” “mas se Deus existe, porque ele permite que isto aconteça?” Olhem o que o Senhor respondeu! No versículo 14: “Então o Senhor, voltando-se para ele, declarou-lhe: “Vai com a força que te dou e livrarás Israel das mãos dos midianitas. Sou eu mesmo quem te envia!”

Basicamente o Anjo respondeu, Eu estou contigo! Eu Sou contigo! Eu estou em ti! Tu transportas a minha presença! Eu faço conforme o que me permites fazer! O mesmo Ele nos responde! Eu não sei o porquê que certas coisas acontecem na nossa vida. Eu não te consigo responder ao porquê. Mas o que posso te responder é, Ele é contigo! Vai com força! transporta a sua presença! Ele diz aqui, na sua palava, que Ele é connosco, se ele está por nós quem será contra nós? Nada nem ninguém poderá parar o fogo que está dentro de ti, que é o próprio Espirito Santo. Não duvides do teu chamado, se Deus te chama agir, age! Gedeão começou com as desculpas e as suas duvidas! “Eu sou da tribo mais pobre, e sou o mais pequeno!” Conhecem este discurso? “Mas eu não sou rico, como posso eu ajudar alguém? Eu sou novo e não tenho autoridade! Eu não estou na situação “ideal””. Hey!! Deus está-te a chamar e está-te a dizer que é contigo! O que estás à espera de ir em frente e de enfrentar a tua situação? O que te impede de ir em frente? Se Ele é por ti o que será contra ti! Crês tu num Deus todo poderoso, omnipotente e omnipresente, que todo o joelho se dobra? Ou crês tu num Deus que te dás umas coisinhas pequenas de vez em quando? Ele quer que tu e eu possamos viver o máximo da nossa vida e para isso temos de reconhecer o nosso chamado! Reconhece o teu chamado!

2 – Passa à ação!

Mais à frente no capitulo 7, vemos que Gedeão reuniu um exercito e foram de encontro aos midianitas, mas antes disso vemos que Gedeão levou algum tempo a reconhecer que realmente aquele era o seu chamado, podem ler no resto do capitulo 6. Por 3 vezes pediu um sinal para que Deus confirma-se mesmo aquilo que ele estava a ouvir, através de sinais. Hey, eu não estou aqui a dizer-vos que nós não devemos ter a certeza antes de irmos, e que não devemos pedir confirmação. Nada disso, acho que podemos e devemos pedir orientação de Deus. Mas há um momento que temos de passar à ação, temos de agir! Muitas vezes ficamos presos neste processo de pedir confirmações por tudo! Pois sabemos o quanto aquilo que Deus nos está a pedir nos vai custar. E somos humanos, todos nós pensamos nisso, alguém aqui não pense assim?

Sabem, eu e a Rebekah tentamos definir um tempo para limparmos a casa, às vezes pode ser ao fim-de-semana, outros durante a semana, mas tentamos ter um dia para o fazer. Ah para quem não sabe eu sou casado, com a mulher mais linda do mundo, e nós somos um casal moderno. Aqui na Hillsong somos em tudo modernos, hehe. (Só um aparte, meninas que querem casar, quando forem arranjar um marido, olhem para como ele é com a sua mãe e em casa, assim poderão ver o tipo de homem que ele pode ser no futuro. E rapazes sejam aquilo que desejam numa futura esposa!) Isto era só um aparte! Então nós limpamos a casa juntos, e dividimos tarefas, mas eu tenho um problema. Eu odeio limpar a casa! Eu levo imenso tempo a ganhar coragem para começar. Eu gosto do momento em que já está tudo limpo. Mas aquele momento antes de começar é muito difícil, depois de começarmos já está tudo bem, mas antes se custa! Mais alguém?

O mais difícil é começar, é o momento de passar à ação. Porque apesar de queremos o resultado final, não queremos o processo intermédio para lá chegar. Muitos de nós podem querer perder peso, mas não conseguem começar a fazer dieta. Queres chegar ao teu chamado? Queres aquilo que Deus tem para ti? Está na hora de passar ação! Chegou a hora de acabar com a procrastinação, de pedir sinais sobre coisas certas! De coisas que Deus já pôs no teu coração à muito tempo, de pensar no custo e passa à ação! AVANÇA! pois Ele é contigo! Ele é a tua força, Ele renova as tuas forças! Passa Ação!

3 – Deixa Deus agir

Então Gedeão reconheceu o seu chamado, passou à ação, fez um altar para Deus, chamou um exército e deixou Deus fazer a sua cena.

Juízes 7:2-7 – “O Senhor disse então a Gedeão: “Há gente demais contigo. Não posso deixar todos esses homens lutar contra os midianitas, porque se assim fosse o povo de Israel haveria de gabar-se de ter vencido devido à sua própria força! Manda para casa todos os que estiverem receosos e acobardados, para fora da região montanhosa de Gileade.” E foi assim que nada menos do que 22 000 homens se foram embora e só 10 000 ficaram decididos a combater. O Senhor tornou a dizer a Gedeão: “Ainda há gente a mais! Leva-os até à fonte e ali te mostrarei quem irá contigo e quem ficará de parte.” Gedeão juntou-os à beira da água e ali o Senhor lhe disse: “Divide-os em dois grupos, de acordo com o modo como bebem. Porás de um lado aqueles que beberem a água, lambendo-a como os cães; do outro ficarão aqueles que se ajoelharem e levarem a água à boca.” Apenas 300 homens beberam com as mãos; todos os outros se inclinaram com a boca até à corrente. “Conquistarei os midianitas com estes 300 homens!”, disse o Senhor a Gedeão. “Manda o resto para casa!”

Então vemos que Gedeão reuniu o exército, e partiu para a batalha, e Deus decide que aquele exército estava muito grande. Ou seja, 32.000 soldados eram muitos contra 135.000, e disse a Gedeão para mandar para casa todos os que estavam com medo. Não sei quanto a vocês, mas se isto fosse comigo, eu começava a argumentar com Deus.. “Deus já vi que tu não percebes nada de matemática, sabes que nós que temos menos, 32.000 é menor que 135.000. Não ao contrário!!” Mas Gedeão fez o que Deus lhe disse e ficou com 10.000. E ainda assim Deus acha que o exército está muito grande! E disse-lhes para ir a uma fonte, onde o exército ia ser divido em 2 grupos, e o grupo que beber água como cães vão para casa. E ficou com 300. Bem, aqui é que Deus se passou! Se fosse comigo, respondia “Deus desta é que te passaste, o que bebeste ao almoço? Admite que já não estás a ver bem. Precisas de óculos? São 300 que ficam não 300.000.”

Mas ele responde no versículo 7: “Conquistarei os midianitas com estes 300 homens” Loucura! Deus estás louco! Quando Deus está na fotografia, a circunstância muda! Não somos nós que estamos no controlo, mas sim Ele! Então só temos de deixar Ele agir. Por mais louco que seja! Eu sou uma pessoa que gosta de ter o controlo das coisas. E digo-vos das coisas que mais tem sido difícil para mim é aprender simplesmente a confiar. Se tivéssemos nesta situação em que Gedeão se encontrava, era natural começarmo-nos a questionar o porquê? Há coisas na nossa vida que nós até podemos achar que não faz sentido, ou questionamo-nos porquê a mim? Mas nós temos de deixar Deus agir.

2º Coríntios 12:9 – “De cada vez ele me disse: “A minha graça te basta! É na fraqueza que o meu poder melhor se revela!” E assim sinto-me feliz nas fraquezas, para que o poder de Cristo possa trabalhar através de mim.

Já foi partilhado aqui na igreja, que eu consegui um trabalho novo. Posso vos dizer que este processo de arranjar trabalho foi das coisas mais incríveis que já experimentei com Deus. Primeiro acho que foi a primeira vez que eu verdadeiramente confiei em Deus, e que Ele estava no controlo! Em segundo foi o processo mais rápido de arranjar trabalho que eu já tive. Eu deixei de trabalhar no dia 20 de outubro e no dia 8 já estava no novo sítio. Terceiro, este processo era o mais instável que eu já tinha estado. Por vários motivos, mas como sócio-gerente, se a empresa declara falência, ou é vendida não temos direito ao fundo de desemprego, ou seja, a partir de dia 20 literalmente fiquei sem receber. Deus agiu e fez aquilo que lhe compete, e neste trabalho sinto-me apreciado, tenho um excelente horário, que me permite estudar! fez muito mais do que eu poderia pedir, ou imaginar porque quando Ele é o centro, Ele supera sempre as nossas expectativas.

Deus quer agir! E quer agir hoje e agora. Estás disposto a deixá-lo? Tu podes reconhecer o teu propósito, podes até ter passado ação, mas sem deixar Deus agir nunca viverás o máximo que Ele tem para ti! Eu não gostaria de terminar sem antes orar por pessoas que reconhecem têm problemas em largar o lugar de condutor, custa-lhe largar o controlo. (Deixe um comentário se queres que ore por ti!) Eu sei o quanto isso é difícil, e acreditem aprendi batendo com a cabeça e se calhar vou bater outra vez. Mas eu creio que Deus nos quer levar mais além, quer nos levar a um nível de intimidade mais profunda..
