What a rollercoaster of emotions this week has been. My shark week started on Sunday, so yes, I’m a bit more “hormonal” as usual. But still, what a rollercoaster it was. And it’s not even over yet!

God and I have been having some deep and clarifying conversations lately and I’m loving it, of course! He has been paving the path for me to walk on and enlightening me with bits about my journey ahead. He is preparing me for every part to come. The trials and tribulations, the bumps and jumps and the abundant fruits and endless flourishment. He has shown me my purpose, last year I surrendered and took hold of them and now He is providing Everything I need for the journey. As I said a week or two ago, I have been reading There Is More by Brian Houston (I actually finished the book today) and he beautifully puts it this way: “With God’s purpose comes His provision. It’s no good to have new roads of opportunity without the rivers of provision for the journey”.

Isaiah 43:19 [NLT] — “For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

This verse talks about a pathway through the wilderness and rivers in the dry wasteland. And it’s exactly how I have been feeling. Through the wilderness of these past months, all these changes and all these things new, old and unknown to me. And also these past months through the dry wasteland, quitting everything else but my practice God told me to focus on. And so now while I build and obey, I each month have right enough to get by. But as I go through both this “wild life” and “no-moneyland”, God is providing for me and equipping me for every day, every step, every breath and break I take. He makes pathways and creates rivers.

I would like to encourage you to not turn down New Roads, because our Provider, Jehovah Jireh, will provide for you New Rivers.

First another bit by Brian in There Is More: “It’s an important declaration. You see, roads take you to new horizons, new possibilities, and new opportunities. And rivers are a source of supply, provision, and resource. My prayer for you is that as you discover more of the character of God and His desire for you to flourish and grow, you will find yourself traveling new roads and new rivers.”

And then finally Provider by Rivers & Robots. One of my most favorite bands and a perfect fit to this blogpost today.

Enjoy the Road & River.

I trust You
Father, You lead me so perfectly
You’re always beside me
You never leave
Through every season of life
You’re my provider
I know that
Even when I’m feeling lost at sea
Your mighty hand still reaches out for me
Through every season of life
You’re my provider
