Jesus Christ was preaching on the hillside to 5000 heads of households counted. Which means about 15.000 to 20.000 people. He was preaching the morning and continued and continued. Christ was talking, preaching, teaching. And everyone was learning and eagerly wanting to learn more.
His twelve disciples, the ones close to Him, led by what the opinions of others were or maybe led by their stomach or led by their tired muscles, either way.. led by their flesh; interrupted this preaching. They interrupted Christ from speaking and asked or suggested Him to dismiss the people and to tell them to go eat. If Jesus Christ would have done that, they wouldn’t have seen one of the biggest wonders: The Wonder of Multiplication.
Don’t stop God from talking. Listen. Keep your ears open and maybe your mouth shut just a bit longer. Fight on and don’t give in. Continue to walk even if your muscles cry out they’re tired. Continue on even if your stomach is shrinking. Continue the faith and in faith, because the God of Multiplication is right there. About to do you a Wonder, not just a favor. Have faith, don’t give up.
The best part is, God will Use You for that multiplication. You are part of the wonder. Don’t give up!
Matthew 14:18-20 [HCSB] — “Jesus asked His disciples to bring the food to Him, and He told the crowd to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish. He looked up toward heaven and blessed the food. Then He broke the bread and handed it to His disciples, and they gave it to the people. After everyone had eaten all they wanted, Jesus’ disciples picked up twelve large baskets of leftovers.” (Emphasis added).
